Low Income Assistance Spay/Neuter Clinic

Event Description:

ARC’s clinic offers free spay/neuter surgeries to dogs and cats for qualifying low-income Flathead Reservation residents. The goal is to spay/neuter 200 animals over the course of two days (Saturday and Sunday). We Reservation (and especially the Pablo community) is facing a crisis of pet overpopulation, and many residents cannot afford spay/neuter due to surgery costs that have risen in recent years. The clinic engages three vet teams (three DVMs and three vet techs) and close to 50 volunteers. Three surgery stations are set ups, and a recovery area is needed. Access to a small kitchen area, cold and warm water, and electricity are required. The clinic requires a larger gym, and we hope to secure a venue in Pablo due to the community need there.
